one thing i don't understand is this judith miller and that other guy getting held in contempt of court and thrown in jail for witholding the names of the administration officials who who shouted at that CIA officer. well, i guess i do get that. what i don't understand is how robert novak is just chillin, why is no one trying to throw him in jail or do anything to him? he broke the story, he obviously knows too.
are they in trouble because they refused to name names and he was never asked to? it would seem pretty stupid to me if you're a prosecutor and you know three people know who committed a crime but only ask two - especially when the two you have asked don't tell you.
can somebody explain this?

With Robert Novak (douchebag of liberty) there's a freedom of the press thing.
It's not entirely certain that he did anything wrong by reporting the story. It is wrong that the other people gave away the identity of the lady.
Scrap my last comment. I didn't realize that Judith Miller and the gie from Time were also press people.
I have no idea why they are in jail.
